Originally founded in 1929, Pop Warner Little Scholars is the nation's oldest youth football, cheer, and dance organization. Pop Warner's commitment to academics is what separates our program from other youth sports nationwide and in NM, as we are the only organization that requires its participants to maintain academic standards to participate. We provide a safe, structured, recreation at no taxpayer expense, for the communities in Los Lunas, Belen, Albuquerque, and Rio Rancho. Our coaches go through a rigorous certification process including CPR certification as well criminal background checks and hold the athletes to the highest standards of character and integrity. The athletes are responsible to work their hardest to be a healthy and productive member of the family, the team, their school, and the community.

·       Season will begin 7/15/2025

·        Coaches will begin contacting you in July

·        Practices are typically 2-3 days per week but will be at the coach's discretion

 

·        Check out our volunteer opportunities on the volunteer tab! All coaches, team managers, board members are volunteers.     

 

·        Cheer Uniforms will be provided

·        The team coaches and managers will be required to exhaust most, if not all, of the funds raised.

·        Teams will be allowed to carryover a small, modest amount into the next season to help with initial season expenses

·        Any residual remaining funds will remain within the organization

·        If an athlete's season is terminated early for any reason, all registration costs are non-refundable, and all funds raised by that athlete will remain with the association.

 

·        Each installment is subject to a $3.00 Service Fee payable to Sports Connect.

·        Pop Warner will not be requiring physicals this year. Parent/Guardian must answer all mandated medical thoroughly and truthfully.
